How to use the editor

First of all, Fluently is a minimalistic, fast, beautiful, and easy-to-use rich text editor that allows you to focus on what's important: your content.

The editor is very straightforward. Just start typing or paste content. Use the styling bar to style your content.

You can create multiple documents simultaneously using the tab bar and shared them with others.

 
 
 
 


How to use the Translator

With the side-by-side translator, you can write your content on your screen's left and get real-time translations on the right.

Fluently's translations (available in 71 languages) are powered by neural machine translations that accurately translate your research, articles, books, emails, or any content.

 
 
 
 


How to use the multilingual grammar, style, and spell checker

Fluently has integrated the LanguageTool grammar, style, and spell checker (available in 42 languages).

It performs thousands of checks simultaneously to perfect your text style and prevent embarrassing mistakes. Get smart suggestions that make your text easier to read and look more professional.

 
 
 
 


How to change the language of the grammar checker

If you want to change the grammar detecting language, click the LanguageTool bubble, and at the top of the popup, you can choose another language. As easy as that.

 
 
 
 


How to use the multilingual synonym library

Fluently also includes LanguageTool’s multilingual synonym library (available in 21 languages).

If you double-click on a word, you will receive suggestions to improve your content's wording.

 
 
 
 


How to use the Micro translator

Sometimes you don't have the words to start writing down your idea in a foreign language, so you want to write it in your mother tongue to check which translation fits best.

The Micro Translator provides an extra small translator next to your document, which will truly enable you to write in your mother tongue while creating a foreign language document.

 
 
 
 


How to publish a document

Share your content with others. Click the ‘publish’ button, and your document is live! Everyone who has your link will be able to see your document.

You can copy the link, go to the live link to see how it looks, or unpublish it again.

 
 


How to edit the translation

You can edit the translation by clicking on it and starting editing — the translation becomes a simplified editor, allowing you to adjust the translation before copying it to speed up your process.

Once done editing, click the ‘Create as a new document’ button, and your edited translation will become a new document.

 
 
 
 


How to save formatting

Fluently makes sure the formatting of your content is saved, even while translating!

 
 
 
 


How to turn on dark mode 🌙

How to use the document overview

You can manage documents with our document overview. Close documents in the tab bar and open them.

In the top-left corner, we added a new menu icon. When you click on it, the document overview appears.

The documents on the first row (the purple ones) are those that are open in your toolbar. The ones at the bottom are those that you closed.

 
 
 
 


How to make changes in your account

If you want to change something to your account, click the icon in the top-right corner with your initials. Here you can check and change all your settings.
